Beautiful handwriting is considered an art that is appreciated by many. Handwriting is one of the important factors that is considered in a written document. Every child must be encouraged to develop good handwriting. Schools do teach students to develop handwriting so as to complete their written works. Even students are rewarded with extra marks for those who write neatly. As students pass to higher classes, students write fast due to a load of written workwhich leads to handwriting deterioration. This is not considered an issue due to lack of time for both teachers and parents, but as the students get into their careersthey feel shy to write as they believe their handwriting won’t be legible to read due to this they may also feel a lack of confidence in their work.
To avoid such problems in children both teachers and parents have to encourage good handwriting constantly.
There are many handwriting competitions around the world that reward students for the effort they take to develop beautiful handwriting.

World Handwriting Contest

It is a sponsored event conducted all over the world to analyze beautiful handwriting around the world in various age categories. It has various criteria that must be fulfilled in order to be selected for the contest. The winners are awarded cash prizes and trophies in an organized event. For the past two years it has been conducted in online mode due to the pandemic.


Handwriting Olympiad

It is the largest held handwriting competition pan India. It is conducted in various schools from standard 1 to 12. It is organized by‘Write Right’, the world’s largest chain of Handwriting Institutes since 2010.
Many schools also conduct their own handwriting contests to encourage good handwriting among children. This form of competition creates a friendly competitive spirit to achieve good handwriting.
